A Rs. 10000 cr consumer products company with a 600 strong sales team wished to create a pool of skilled Field Officers to enable on-time availability for vacant positions.
A team of 25 fresh MBAs from second/ third tier institutes were hired as Field Officer Trainees and put thru’ an initial accelerated 60-day course incorporating classroom knowledge/ training and field exploration and testing. On job deployment was preceded by a shadowing stint and a “Acting Field Officer” stint. The 4-month program ended with certification and confirmation as a regular Field Officer.
20 of the 25 trainees made it over the 4-month project, were absorbed by the Company. Many of them have proven to be outstanding performers.
